I live in cecil county and my neighbor swears he has seen a mountain lion on several occasions. I’ve never seen one or any evidence of one but who knows

We just had a local report of a lady sighting one near Keedysville. Which we are between two mountains in the valley and lots of farm land and hills and woods. Two years ago some sheep and mini horse got mauled in Falling Waters WV just over the river. So I don't doubt it.

This has been debunked...  Check-out the Susquehannock Society on Facebook.  A cool organization based in Harford Co.  They did a comparison pic with a tiny young lady associated with the organization, pic taken at same location from same distance away.....   It was a large house cat that has been seen many times by locals.

Yes, the Fallston lion, was just a cat. BUT, we got bigger kitty's roaming out here! If I see one hunting and it even looks at me funny it's going to be SSS, just saying! If it keeps on walking, we will all be good. I'm not talking Bobcat's either, becuase they are here too. Short tailed muscle cats that i hope steer clear of me too.

Yea I hunt close to fallston I don't want to tango with a mountain lion. So I hope if there ever is one there it just keeps walking and doesn't think I look like a good snack

I saw a young Dinosaur last fall near Hopes reservoir.
Ran across the road and dove in the water, I stopped but never saw it surface.
Some one reported seeing a Lock nest monster maybe that was him.

archeryrob - I know a lot of guys call BS on the possibility of Mountain Lions in WV. I got in a discussion with a buddy a few years back who said no way (2013-2014). So I called the WV DNR and put them on speaker phone with him right beside me and asked them why they had Mountain Lions listed in the Regulations as "No Open Season"...his response was "so people don't shoot them"! It's been removed in recent years but it mirrors what MD did with Black Bears in listing them as a "closed season" so they could keep the locals from shooting them (or at least enforce it) before they fully recognized them and introduced a season.
