Has anyone heard if KCC will be processing this year?

My last visit to D&P Meats last season they had a sign up that they were not processing deer this year.

Wondering if anyone new has come along.

I was hoping that KCC had worked out whatever issues they had and could get back to what they were doing.
D&P was great and very reasonable but he is just getting tired of non-stop work.
Both are located pretty close to where I hunt and made it that much easier. Could hunt after work and had somewhere to take a deer. Appears as though that is over.

C&L deer prosessing is a great deer processor I have know the owner for years they are very reasonable on their prices and offer a lot of different cuts and speciality items. 24hr drop and a quick turn around on your meat. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Used to be several places in Harford. Times sure change. I think there was someone off Shuresville Rd by the dam. Never used them but heard there was a processor there. Have to look into that.

I wanted to give an update. I contacted KCC and they are not processing deer at all this year, said to check back in next fall. I am planning to call D & P meats this evening and see if he is going to process this year. Looking like  Bucklands might be the closest spot for most guys in Harford County.

I dropped one off at Buckland’s last year. Not too bad a hump from Harford. Sucks about KCC as they did a great job, but it is what it is.

I mostly hunt just off of Route 1 in Hickory so Bucklands is not too far from there and I really do not have any other options in the area.

KCC said to contact them next season so maybe they are planning to resume processing next year.

I'm gonna watch these about 20 more times and try my own this year.  See how much of it ends up as stew and ground, lol

I live in harford county and always process my own deer. I use to manage a butcher shop and have probably been involved with processing several thousand deer. If anyone in Harco or northern Balto County is in a pinch and needs help I would be happy to assist if I am able. I know especially during early season it can be tough with the warmer weather...

I have butchered a couple of my deer and it was not hard to do. My problem is that I have no place to do it, not doing it in my kitchen. I also have been spoiled by the ease of dropping off a deer and picking up nice, clean, wrapped venison, especially ground meat that has been mixed with some good beef fat. The early season heat also really complicates things when you don't have access to cold storage.
I will give Bucklands a try.
