One answer....
Men and women have been killing animals for centuries without the gadgets. Their ancestors have survived for just as long without gadgets.

The "P.T. Barnum effect" and/or " a fool and his money are soon parted" if you prefer. [smile] Critters can't smell upwind....

Sometimes critters come in from downwind.

Nothing will eliminate your scent completely but every little bit helps.

Personally I love my scent crusher bag. What I like most about it is on out of down trips I don't need a wash machine. Toss it in the bag and hit it for 30 minutes.

I see that being a Big thing. Actually better than a washer in some points. I’d like to win one. But don’t plan on buying one. Hint hint.

Why are you using a xbow then? Just make yourself a bow like your ancestors did.

I don't know man. I've stunk like arse and killed some respectable deer during the rut and in bad wind situations. I think at best it might give you an edge outside of the rut and when they are on guard. I've always found motion busts more than scent. They can still see your movement even when not looking directly at you.

If I was wealthy I would probably have every hunting Gadget there is. I use a liberal amount of scent off spray every time I go out, who knows of it really works. Makes me feel better. Like sharper said they can't smell upwind. I get away with a lot more behind my house in Baltimore County, if they are up wind im good or when they are down wind this time of year they just get a nose full of my wood stove from the house.

It is literally the same exact veggie cleaner, just with a tremendous markup because they put the word scent on it.

All you have to do is google what ozone does to various fabrics and plastics, and you'll see its a matter of time until your camo is destroyed. Rubbers/elastics are destroyed rapidly in ozone.

Does it work, im sure it does...

In my eyes though, at what point do we say the challenge has been eliminated from hunting?

I didnt get any horns this year, but as usual I put a hurtin on the cervides... No ozone needed. Did I get busted this year, yes a few times by a old smart doe during bow season, but I had part of her for dinner tonight :-) she didnt bust me when I had the .270, I busted her.

I remember when scent lok and scent blocker clothing was all the rage ; ) what happened?

Doesn't scent killer spray kill the scent on your hunting clothes and gear?

Just my 2 cents

If the machines sold on the market worked they would kill you! A friend of mine who owns ozone trailers for a fire and flood company says the amount of ozone used to remove scent would kill you in minutes and unless its operating at full power you cant expect 100% results. So, the better question is ozone stuff worth 300-2000$ for 0-50% of a difference? I got the scent crusher go in my truck and it wont eliminate an average fart!

Go cycle 30 miles in 95 degrees. Smell your shorts. Toss them in the scent crusher bag (I paid $220) for 30 minutes and smell them.
Guarantee your opinion changes. It works. Those who say it doesn't help are ignorant.

$220??

You know that veggie cleaner they attach to it, is $35 at walmart, and the bag is probably $30-40 tops?

Friends of mine say the ozononics work great but I'm not spending the money on them. Good points on where does technology stop, I'm not giving up my rangefinder and binoculars.

Look what happened to compound bows...first they had a 35% let off. Then 50%. Now my 60lb bow has an 80% let off. So I'm holding back 12 lbs at full draw.

I try to be scent free when hunting deer. Their nose is amazing and is maybe their best weapon against hunters. So I use scent free detergent and soap and I eat chlorophyll pills and spray everything with scent killer...
Then everytime I drive to my hunting spot I get behind a dang bus or a dump truck that is running bad and spewing that stinkin' diesel smell out all over the place.
