I’m a teacher and I have a snow day. Is it worth it to go out this afternoon? Thinking bring a rake...just don’t want to waste time. Wondering if the birds will even get off the water at all for fear of it freezing up.

I was praying for work to be shut down, because damn right its worth it!  Ice concentrates birds, so if you find or make an ice free spot, there will be birds.

not cold enough yet to freeze the big waters.  small ponds and sheet water around swamps will freeze.  heard several flocks of geese flying around earlier this  morning.  nothing ventured nothing gained.  Just be safe out there if you go out on the water.  should be interesting launching a boat today.

Well it’s not really that cold yet. With that said when roosts really start to freeze birds don’t fly till late so they can keep their holes open. So in bitter cold midday n early afternoon should be better.

Geese have not flown much today yet around Easton. Not sure where you are but you can't kill em from the couch.
