It’s been slow for me here in Montgomery county. I have only seen one buck chasing. Not much going on. I can’t hunt tomorrow because of some family obligations, but I am heading to my club property in Calvert on Thursday morning and going to hunt through Saturday. Hopefully I will see more action. Good luck to all and be safe! Ray |

Well, the corn is still standing in the fields here. Argh. I'm taking the kid to a friends property on Saturday afternoon to try for his first deer. |

To all my fellow team member's, I'm so sorry for not being able to carry myself. Right before season my old job went under and I started a new one, well being in my first 90 days til December 15th I cant miss any time and dont have any paid time to take, and of course there's been a bunch of O.T. They need to make more sunday's available to hunt as that is most of my time to hunt, so after Dec. I hope to be in full swing in the woods and try to put a few doe's down to help out. Thanks all and congrats. |

DING! Took a doe this morning with my .35 Rem (from a 336 Marlin). She was lactating and dribbled milk while being gutted. Never seen that in MD (I'm down here in the south). Try and get pics up tonight. Was a bit chilly this morn so I put on the silk layer and when it even thought about getting light I was dreading having to be in my blind with that on. Good thing those doe came in so early, I'd been stewed in my own juices. It's 70 already! |

Congrats Fubarfred! this past week has been a rough one... and so has the season. I've seen lots of deer but nothing huge. I'm changing my strategy this week. I'm no longer trophy hunting. Gonna take the first deer I see and get my skunk off. Good luck team! |

Well PA archery went out yesterday but i'm still in the game for a second buck in MD with the bow. Earned the second tag on a bitter sweet ground assult this past thursday evening,at about 4:20 pm.
With the high winds i sat on the ground with my turkey stool and was able to harvest my second anterless deer of the season at 18 yards. Played the wind perfectly and was able to slip in close, because the strong wind disguised my approach to a known bedding area. I was really proud of getting it done off the ground after i saw the arrow smack home.
Unfortunatly it was a button buck ,and i was really unhappy about that. I usually have no problem telling the difference but maybe it was because i was on the ground. I truely thought it was a doe and would never had shot it otherwise. I always give people crap that shoot buttons when they say they couldn't tell. Well now i will be a bit more sympathetic, sure hope i don't do it again tho.

Gotta give up the thanks to the equally young and lovely BobbieVelvet. I couldn't send any pics from down here in SC. Like I told him, it was 49 at 0530 when I went out and by 1030 it was 76. I was cookin'!! |

Well, still up to my ass in corn around here as the fields still arent cut. My season may be over before it ever started. Haven't seen a deer since the doe portion of the ML season. |
