Reply with quote | #16 | I think my goals for hunting shift from year to year. There are those cool things that I have as personal goals, one deer with each (bow, crossbow, pistol, ML and rifle), one deer every month... But I think the main thing for me this year is actually passing up shots I normally would have taken in previous years. Passing on a spike because I already have enough meat, I'm looking for the gravy. Last year.. I would have taken his butt out. I haven't killed that many deer with the bow, but I now think I posess the skill-set to harvest more or better deer than ever before.
Ultimately, my main goal is to enjoy the outdoors, take in the sights and sounds and spend time with my friends. MWC has given me the opportunity to meet some truly incredible people. I may have made some friendships through the site that mean a lot to me. I cherish all of my friends and treat them like family. I learned this in the military... sometimes, your friends are your family. Never take a friend for granted and lend a hand when you can, you never know when you might need a hand yourself.

My Goal is always a trophy no doubt. But its if its brown its down except small bucks early in the season to get a few in the freezer then sit back during the rut and i just like being in the woods then. then make sure i got meat later in the winter to last the off season. always wanna kill mature bucks. |
