.....there was a way to brighten up video, the
way you can brighten a picture.

Most hunter/deer occurrences happen at low light "Twilight"

BowDeadly just informed me that Movie Maker
has a brightness effect.
I feel like such an idiot now.

I was about to mention that.  I've used it before and don't think it does too much to help.  That's just my experience though.

I tried it, and it helped a little with 2 or 3 portions
of it, but it would lock up my computer every time
in the playback.

go to your manual settings eric and set the iris to its most open point
