Switched to Shuttle T-lock broadheads recently.  They were shooting fine at 20yds indoors.  Went to shoot them outdoors at 30 & 40 yds and things got weird.  At 30 yards, I noticed they were a couple inches high and right. No big deal.  However, at 40yds, they were almost 2 feet right.   Field points were dead on though at 40yds.  Do you think it's just the broadhead or a tuning problem w/ the bow exacerbated by the broadhead?   Any others have similar experiences w/ the Shuttle T-lock broadheads?  Needless to say, it's back to Slick Tricks for me....

could depend on how you have the blades tuned with the fletchings. try lining up the fletchings and if that doesnt work, line up the blades in between. also check to make sure the blades are seated in the ferral good. imo the tricks are a better head though.

Have you tried other fixed blade broadheads?

Tuning issue:  Your rest needs to be moved SLIGHTLY to the left...SLIGHTLY.  At 40 yds, a slight adjustment can mean big changes.  if your FP's hit accurately, dont just move your pins...you need to fix the tuning issue.  Move the rest slightly to the left until your BH's hit the same place as your FP's.  When they hit the same...then move your pin to sight them both in.

BEFORE doing any of this stuff, make sure that your BH spins true (no wobble) when you spin your arrow/BH combo.  if it doesnt spin true, then dont mess with your bow...mess with your BH arrow combo.

Thanks for the advice.   I spin tuned my arrows before the season w/ the BHs on and they were fine.  Would moving the rest really be a solution when the field points are shooting accurately?

Did you spin them after shooting into target. They will bend

If your BH's and FP's arent hitting together it is one of two things...BH's arent spinning true OR rest tuning needs improved.

think of the BH coming out just a TAD to the right of center...when that big surface hits the oncoming air it gets pushed farther to the right.  When your FP's come out of the same set up, there is no big flat surface to catch air and push right, so the FP's shoot relatively straight.  Get the BH's coming out straight, and they will fly where the FP's hit.  Adjust your sites and then go kill stuff...it really is that easy....sometimes.

Mine shoot awesome.  Thanks to JLH.  He made a few tuning adjustments to my bow and now I get great arrow flight.
If I remember correctly....

1. Time the cams.
2. Made adjustment to when the fall away rest came up. (was coming up too soon and causing one of the cams to cant)
3. Very slight adjustment to rest...move a hair left if my memory is correct

Okay... I switched to Slick Tricks and they still shot quite a bit right at 40yds.  Not as far as the Shuttle T's but still not good.  I moved the rest slightly left and they shot right on the money.   However, now my field points are shooting a little left... Oh well, at least my BH's are accurate now...  Thanks for the tips!

If you continue to move that rest SLIGHTLY to the left, your BH's should hit with your FP's eventually.  The trick is tiny, tiny movements each time and then shoot.  Dont worry about if they hit the bullseye...just worry about the FP and BH hitting together.  When they do, then adjust the sights.  Sights are easy to adjust.  The rest is the tricky part.

Just because your Slick tricks are hitting right on now, doesnt mean your bow is tuned.  You are sacrificing some arrow flight, accuracy, and confidence if your setup isnt tuned well.  I think you can get there if you continue to move the rest in tiny steps.

I agree. bowace, you may also want to try walk-back tuning.
