southpaw...Caveman Taxidermy is worth every bit of the drive.

15-20 minutes to Hooper Rd...35-40 minutes to Hammerdog.

Worth every minute if you ask me.

Just sayin'.

Not taking away anything from Jason, I've seen his work.

I just know what Al puts into his work, and as long as he's a taxidermist, I'd drive for hours to get him to do mine.

Try Sams deer processing on Bollinger mill rd off of rte. 32. Its a one stop shop. His son does the taxidermy. Price was around $300 a few years ago.

I have given Jason 2 items. Given him a deposit on both. He has lost both items. His dad (Sam) does a great job with the processing, but I will never gim Jason anything again.

X2 on Hammerdog (caveman taxidermy).  Super friendly guy and the work I've seen is excelent.  Nice price as well; just don't plan on dropping it off real quick and getting out of there, he likes to talk hunting, but then again don't we all.

Jason is Sams nephew and helps him out on the side. He does good work. As with any taxidermy you get what you pay for. I used Albert Stone in Libertytown for years. He did top notch work but he moved several years ago and I think he retired. Natures best in Mt. Airy also comes highly recommened but I heard his turn around takes forever.

Kelly at Natures Best does real good work and I would use him again (if I ever get to kill a P&Y), turn around is 12 months or more and it isn't cheap 500 or so. I've also used Barrett for some fox just down from the rt97 - rt 32 intersection, wifes work seems to be better than hubby () and $ were reasonable

go to the shops and look at their work, then decide what you want/expect vs the price (MO)
