Reply with quote | #1 | I could use some advice. I have a small 10 acre hunting site. it's part apple orchard. I took my first deer ever there 2 weeks ago , a nice big mature doe. I have had a camera there for about six weeks and I have gotten some shots of a couple nice size bucks including one that I shot at and missed the night before I took the doe.
They mostly come in the middle of night so I was shocked he actually just walked out there at nightfall.
Here's my question. I have set up my food plot with a couple of cotton hangers with doe estrous and I started a scrape under a acorn a big oak with some buck urine.
I have a several nice size does coming every evening. but not a sign of a buck. I am purposefully passing on them right now to draw the buck. Is there any better way to set this up?
Or any other advice?
thanks. garrie

Patience, that's the only thing I can tell you. Once the rut really kicks in, he'll show. Good luck! |

Try to figure out where he is closer to start or end of shooting hours and then ambush him as he starts to or from the feeding area. |
