I could use some advice. I have a small 10 acre hunting site. it's part apple orchard. I took my first deer ever there 2 weeks ago , a nice big mature doe.  I have had a camera there for about six weeks and I have gotten some shots of a couple nice size bucks including one that I shot at and missed the night before I took the doe.

They mostly come in the middle of night so I was shocked he actually just walked out there at nightfall.

Here's my question.  I have set up my food plot with a couple of cotton hangers with doe estrous and I started a scrape under a acorn a big oak with some buck urine.

I have a several nice size does coming every evening. but not a sign of a buck. I am purposefully passing on them right now to draw the buck.  Is there any better way to set this up?

Or any other advice?

thanks.  garrie

Patience, that's the only thing I can tell you.  Once the rut really kicks in, he'll show.  Good luck!

Try to figure out where he is closer to start or end of shooting hours and then ambush him as he starts to or from the feeding area.
