I'm not satisfied with the accuracy I'm getting so I'm looking to try a different slug. Anyone shoot a Marlin 512 and happy with the slug they shoot? |

I've got some of those last year and haven't tryed them yet. I've also got some Remminton sabots. I think they are called Core Lokt. Might try them too. |

What slugs were you shooting? They say that the new remington accu-tip slugs are screamers. I shoot lightfield hybrids from one of my slug guns. I dont get mny pass throughs but who needs them when the deer are parked where they were standing. Every one of my 4 slug guns shoot different slugs. I have a 12 gauge H&R that shoots 2 3/4 inch 3/4.oz barnes awesome, 20 gauge H&R that shoots 3 inch 5/8.oz tipped barnes great, winchester 1300 with a fully rifled barrel that shoots the 12 gauge lightfields 2 3/4 inch 1 1/4 oz and a mossberg 500 fully rifled barrel that will only shoot 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch 1.oz winchester super x rifled slugs. I have had great success with all of the sabots posted above. The old rifled slugs will shoot in just about anything!!! |

I was shooting cheap Remington Sluggers. I know they say those slugs are not good for fully rifled barrels due to lead build up in the rifling. It has always shot them good. I cleaned it real good and thought I'd start shooting sabots. I don't want to ruin the barrel or anything. |

any problems with the recoil?
Have one, but quit using it b/c it kicked so much.
Curious to see if anyone has the same issue.

Yes, it will get your attention, but I don't notice it when I'm shooting a deer. |
