Looking for a taxi for a Euro mount that usee beetles. Preferably in southern MD. Don't need a wall plaque or anything, just looking to get a skull cleaned up.

You can contact Richard- little antler through this site, or go through Mike Travis at Upperbay Taxidermy who also uses him.

If you have room in your freezer stick it in there until the end of the season and take a little ride, thats what I do. Him and his beetles will do a nice job for you.

Fortunately/unfortunately I do not. Freezer is already full of mule deer so I'm gonna have to get creative just to fit this WT meat in there.

If anyone knows anyone closer, I'm all ears. I'd rather not have it boiled though.

Thats a good problem to have. Agree with you on the boiled skull, I have a couple of both and the boiled ones will start to fall apart over time, the beetle processed skulls hold up really well.

I've used him. He does good work. I believe he boils and sprays, though. OP may specifically want bugs.

BOILED / NO /SIMERED / YES
It all depends on how it's done, boiling can destroy the thinner bones etc. Simering and not boiling can be ok.
I have both on display, I have simmered ones I did years ago ,still white and still together. I had a guy (boil a couple )
for me and when they arrived (shipped) they were falling apart.
Bug/beetle cleaned is the way. My choice would be Littleantler, been there excellent work...

Littleantler did this one.

I use the boil method, never had anything fall apart. I’m in St Marys if you have any questions or change your mind. Check out Big Foxs skulls on Facebook.

Not saying anyone is , but I will say this : No skull after being done should have to be painted ever . If done correctly . Sealed yes but not painted .

It may be unrelated, but just to clarify my previous post. When I said boils and sprays, I meant spraying is in pressure washing...not painting.
